I think the problem could be from either the master board or the graphic card, since some coloured strips showed after starting it and even in the Bios.
You know, there is something in this world like if you get it with you, you feel just normal and don't feel anything else; but if you lose it, you feel like life is in hell. Laptop is abso-f%$king-lutely this kind of thing.
