According to "Shi Ji (Records of the Grand Historian)" (Sima Qian, 91BC), after Shang Dynasty is defeated by Zhou Dynasty, one of the ministers of Shang called 'Jizi' fled with around 5000 Shang people to Korean Peninsula and combined with local natives to form a small country called 'Jizi State' in 1122BC which is controlled by Zhou. Jizi brought decorum and institution of Shang to the local people. This state is defeated by Wei Man of Yan State in 194BC and he established 'Wei State'. In 108DC, 'Wei State' is annihilated by the seventh emperor of the Han Dynasty (Liu Che). Then this region became a state of Sui, Tang Dynasty. In 918DC, Wang Jian established a new country 'Wang Goryeo' and it consolidated the centre and south parts of Korean Peninsula in 935DC. After that, it became a dependent country of several Chinese Dynasties. In 1392DC, Yi Seong-gye, the minister of 'Wang Goryeo', usurped the throne and established a new dynasty. Emperor Hongwu of Ming Dynasty bestowed a country name 'Joseon' (meaning: morning sun is vivid). Then 'Joseon dynasty' established (1392-1910).
Therefore, in short, Korean history starts from 918DC as 'Wang Goryeo'. The previous history is China North East states history.
Btw, another thing I have to say. In 1592DC, Korea is invaded by Japanese minisiter Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the king of Korea asked for help from Ming dynasty. Ming soldiers helped korean people and fighted 7 years. Finally, the enemy was forced to beat a retreat. Then Ming soldiers returned without requiring any benefits. Today, not only without a thanks, you guys also defamed and debased Ming army (shown in Korean TV series "Bulmyeolui Lee Soon-shin" 2003).
Once more, a suggestion to Korean people, stop being cocky all the time!
